How the Day Works
Your group will be welcomed at Lilydale Airport, where each participant will receive a personal safety briefing before taking their turn in the Tiger Moth.
As the aircraft carries one passenger at a time, the day naturally becomes a relaxed and social occasion. While each flight is underway, the rest of the group can watch the aircraft depart and return, take photographs, chat with the pilot and soak up the atmosphere of vintage aviation.
Rather than rushing between activities, you'll have time to enjoy the experience together, making the day just as memorable for those on the ground as those in the air.
Make a Day of It
Our spacious hangar provides the perfect base for your group throughout the day.
Guests are welcome to make use of our complimentary BBQ facilities and undercover seating area. Simply bring along your own food and refreshments, settle in, and enjoy a relaxed day surrounded by classic aviation.
Many groups choose to combine their flying experience with a visit to one of the Yarra Valley's wineries, breweries or restaurants before or after their time at the airfield, creating a full day out.

Food & Refreshments
You're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic refreshments for the day.
For the safety of everyone involved, alcohol must not be consumed until all scheduled flights have been completed. Once the flying has concluded, your group is welcome to enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly while relaxing at the hangar before continuing your day in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
